Family Photograph 33

Relaxing at home.  There are several photos like this in the family albums (see photo #4) where the children are gathered around the portrait Stember painted of their eldest child Ksenia who died at age 5 of Diptheria.(#91 on this site).  The painting on the wall was not complete when she died so Stember waited 2 years until Natasha was 5 to use her hands to finish the portrait.  

The portrait remains in the family collection.
