The beautiful full sized painting of Anna Pavlova (#118 on this site) was done by Victor Stember in 1909 in St. Petersburg.  It was entitled 'Muse' and was so loved by Anna Pavlova that she had it hung in her dance studio in St. Petersburg and used it as her inspiration when she practiced.

A photo of the painting was used as a frontispiece in the most acclaimed book of Anna Pavlova which was written by her husband, V. Dandre.  This photo shows the painting in her studio as Anna is working with Maestro Cecchetti.
