This is a unique photo because it shows three images of Stember's daughter Nadja.  In the far background is Nadja at age 21 and is full length (# 116).  This is the last of seven portraits he had done of her. The painting on the easel was done in 1914 (# 95) and was used as a full page front cover of a Russian magazine in a story of Stember and his paintings.  Nadja herself went on to become a artist but had a government job after the Revolution and was tasked with painting many portraits of Lenin and other officials.
