Sonya is a 1904 portrait by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
Sonya is Stember's youngest daughter and is age 9 in this portrait. It is the only portrait he did of her.
This portrait can be seen exhibited at Stember's 25th Jubilee Celebration in Moscow in 1913. See photos #6 and 9. In photo #23 this painting can be seen in Stember's studio.
This painting was later made into a postcard and sold in a series of Stember paintings. Some were sold to fund a charity called 'Lubenskoye Society About the Care of Beggars.'
