Family Photograph 62

This is the catalogue cover to the Sotheby's Russian Art auction of 22 April 2009 in New York city. On page 28 is a photograph of Lot 14 which is a beautiful painting by Victor Karlovich Shtemberg, Russian 1863-1917 (1921 actually)  It is named 'Morning'  (# 53) and signed in Cyrillic (lower left); variously inscribed (on the stretcher) oil on canvas. The dimensions are 401/2 by 313/4 in. 103-80 cm.

It was offered at $25,00-35,000  According to Blouin Art Sales Index Gallery, it sold for a premium but not disclosed.  It is     in the Artwork section of this website.
