A Gypsy is a 1891 portrait by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
The photograph of this painting was taken by Stember after he completed the painting.
Nadja Stember, wife of the artists, writes of Victor painting a 'beautiful Gypsy from Anichka (Volodya's daughter).' page 109 in her book of Memoirs. It is presumed that this is the painting since none of the others is entitled 'A Gypsy' and the timeframe fits in her diary.
