'Back of Model is a 1900 portrait by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
This painting is one of a series of three, and are currently displayed together with two having identical frames. See paintings #161, 'Crying Nude' and #159, 'Model Brushing Her Hair'.
These three paintings were brought to the United States by the artists daughter by rolling them up in her suitcase.
