An Actress is a 1899 portrait by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
The family acquired a postcard of this painting from a dealer in Bulgaria who named it 'Pretty Lady.' In the album created by the artists daughter however, she labeled it 'An Actress.' Stember's signature is in the lower right.
This painting is also found in sepia in a magazine and had been cut out and retained by the artists daughter. The name of the publication is not known but the writing indicates it is Russian.
