Nadja's Mother: Sophia Vladimirovna Georgievski is a 1888 portrait by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
This lady is the Mother-in-law of Stember. She died at age 63 and left the lovely home of Lubanovo to all three of her daughters. It was decided to sell the property which enabled the family to buy the land to build their summer dacha, Dubrachok.
This was one of the portraits rolled up and brought to America by the artists daughter before the Russian Revolution.
Stember's signature can be seen in the lower right corner.
