A Corner of an Art Studio 'Sculptress' is a 1890 portrait by the Russian artist Victor Stember.
The family is in possession of a large black and white photo of this oil painting. On the back is written 'belongs to M.E. Kleist' (Vleist) Moscow, 1890.
Stember's signature is in the lower right corner.
In Stembers Diary, page 25, he references his cousin 'Maria Lvovna (my cousin Sculptress)' but it is not known if this is the model he used. See on this site, another sculptress painting with the name of the sculptress #114: Marie Dillon.
